Sindelar taken to hospital because of dizziness

SONOMA, Calif. (AP)—Joey Sindelar withdrew from the Charles Schwab CupChampionship and was taken to a hospital after complaining of dizziness duringthe third round.
According to a Champions Tour spokesman, Sindelar became dizzy after playingthe 204-yard, par-3 fourth hole Saturday. He rested in between holes and triedto play the fifth before withdrawing. Medical personnel attended to Sindelar atthe Sonoma Golf Club and the 51-year-old player was taken to a hospital forfurther tests.
Sindelar, a seven-time winner on the PGA Tour titles, was 7 under for thetournament before withdrawing. He’s winless in two years on the Champions Tour,but was second behind Fred Funk in the U.S. Senior Open in August.
