Golf-Woods to miss Chevron World Challenge tournament (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES, Nov 30 (Reuters) – Tiger Woods has decided hewill not play in this week’s Chevron World Challenge golf eventwhich he has hosted in Thousand Oaks, California, for the pastnine years.

World number one Woods, who has dominated news headlinessince crashing his SUV outside his Florida home in the earlyhours of Friday morning, said he would not attend due toinjuries sustained in the accident.

“I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at mytournament this week,” Woods, 33, said in a statement on hisofficial website (http://web.tigerwoods.com).
