2013 US Amateur headed to Brookline

FAR HILLS, N.J. (AP)—The U.S. Amateur is headed back to The Country Club inBrookline, Mass., for a record-tying sixth time.
The U.S. Golf Association announced Saturday that the 2013 U.S. Amateurwould be played at the course, one century after the U.S. Open was held therethe first time.
The Country Club will match Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa., for the mosttimes hosting the U.S. Amateur. It also held the tournament in 1910, 1922, 1934,1957 and 1982.
The finals of this year’s U.S. Amateur are Sunday at Southern Hills CountryClub in Tulsa.
